On summer nights, love songs are sung through vocal sacs.
Tadpoles swim with their tails pushing forward.
Then legs grow in and kick from the back.
Gills will go and lungs will grow, soon they’ll crawl on earth.
They can’t eat, not while they’re young.
The tails provide when they can’t eat.
Their skin is moist to breathe like lungs.
