Underneath, pipes line the belly.
Pipes to breathe and detect what’s yummy.
It secretes its own jacket and makes it well.
Colorful and vibrant layers, well arranged.
As it crawls with one foot, nice and swell.
The tides, temperature and salinity varies and change.
So they hide during day and come out at night.
They were used as money in the past,
And brought us much delight.
